"LISTEN TO HIS VOICE”
"See, I am sending an angel before you, to guard you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared. Be attentive to him and heed his voice. Do not rebel against him, for he will not forgive your sin. My authority resides in him." (Exodus 23: 20-21).
MEDITATION ON THE BIBLICAL TEXT
The Jews were about to enter the land of Canaan. God promises them that they will not go alone, but that his angel will accompany them and make it possible for them to enter the promised land if they are obedient and let themselves be guided by him. Every time the Lord sends us, that is, he asks us for something, his angels go before us to help us fulfill his will. Therefore, nothing is impossible for us because we are always helped when we are really willing to live according to his commands.
A LOOK INTO THE HEART
The Lord asks his chosen people to listen to the voice of the angel who goes before them, opening their way. Before us also go the holy angels helping us make possible everything that God asks of us. They are bearers of God's desires and speak to our souls, encouraging us and also warning us. Our guardian angel never separates from us, but the holy Archangels are also with us to show us the paths of God.
PRAYER TO SAINT MICHAEL, GABRIEL AND RAPHAEL
Holy Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Rafael accompany me on this day on my path of giving. I want to open my heart wide to hear your voice as the Israelites did in the desert. Guide me along the paths of love that is given and offered so that my life can give glory to God and collaborate with the salvation to my brothers. Amen.
