SHE CONCEIVED OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the holy Spirit. (Matthew 1: 18).
For nine months Mary, her mother, sheltered the Son of God in her womb. She did it in silence, expecting with enthusiasm, knowing that the Redeemer was already in the world and that he would soon be born.
Waiting for Advent is a time rich in graces because it prepares me, like Mary, to once again receive our Savior in my heart.
Jesus' birth is also my birth to grace, because every time I receive him, he transforms me, making me more docile, more attentive, more receptive to everything that comes from God.
Jesus, Son of God and Mary, invites me today to let myself be transformed by the Holy Spirit. He wants to make me his instrument to bring hope to my brothers.
I listen and receive the invitation from him. I go with joy and hope to live fully the celebration of Christmas.
