THE HOLY SPIRIT WORKS IN THE WORLD WITH GREAT POWER
Yet more than ever, believers in the Lord, great numbers of men and women, were added to them. Thus they even carried the sick out into the streets and laid them on cots and mats so that when Peter came by, at least his shadow might fall on one or another of them. (Acts 5:14-15)
REFLECTION
So great was the power of the Spirit manifested through the apostles, the account of Acts tells us, that even the shadow of Peter healed the sick. And we only need to remember the disciples of the Lord, fearful and insecure before his coming, to understand more clearly the power of his work in them. In the same way, we are called each day of our lives to abandon ourselves to the action of the Spirit, who recreates us and instills confidence in us, so that we can live being fulfilled in the love given and offered.

Do I recognize the action of the Holy Spirit in me and in my life?

I want to manifest the Spirit through my life, through the gifts and talents that he has given me.
PRAYER
Holy Father, give us your Spirit so that its power and strength may make us true apostles of these times and thus all the gifts you give us throughout our lives may bear fruit. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
