THE HOLY SPIRIT IS POURED OUT ON THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN HIM

While Peter was still speaking these things, the holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the word. The circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter were astounded that the gift of the holy Spirit should have been poured out on the Gentiles also. (Acts 10:44-45)

REFLECTION

To the surprise of the Jews who had approached the centurion Cornelius' house with Peter, the Holy Spirit descended on him and his entire family, clearly manifesting the power of the Word of Christ. In this way, all of us who believe in the Gospel and live its teachings become capable of receiving great graces, because it is the same Spirit that is poured out on us. The Word of God works by itself with renewing and saving power.

EXAM

Do I meditate on the Word of God letting myself be enlightened by it?

INTENTION

I invoke the Holy Spirit so that He can be light and clarity in my life, increasing my faith, hope and charity.

PRAYER

Holy Father, pour out on us the strength of your Love so that we can walk safely guided by you and we can also be light to illuminate the way for our brothers. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
