THE HOLY SPIRIT COMPLETES HIS WORK IN US
And they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you and your household will be saved." So they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to everyone in his house. He took them in at that hour of the night and bathed their wounds; then he and all his family were baptized at once. He brought them into his house and provided a meal and with his household rejoiced at having come to faith in God. (Acts 16:31-34)
REFLECTION
The joy of salvation had reached that man and his entire family, so they celebrated having believed in the Lord Jesus. The Holy Spirit invites us to live the highest ideals announced in the Gospel. He wants each one of us to fulfill the promise made by the Father to all men from Abraham onwards. For this reason, by receiving the water of Baptism, we are called to be ways and means of sanctification and salvation for all men, through love given and offered.
EXAM
Can I conceive that I have been called to bring all my brothers the Good News of Salvation through the love offered every day?
INTENTION
We ask the Holy Spirit for the grace to sanctify us and make us bearers of his message of love and thus complete the work of God in us.
PRAYER
Father of all mercies, lead us along the path of love intensely given and lived. Make us instruments of your love and your peace so that everyone who sees and approaches us may receive your love. We want to be bearers of your Word, to make it life in us so that it bears fruit and reaches all our brothers. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
