PRAYER TO MARY MOTHER OF PILGRIMS
Mary, you desired to be our companion in this path of giving we live every day. We take you as our Mother of pilgrims, so that you may always walk ahead of us, opening the way for us, pointing out the goal, and giving us an example of love that is donated and offered.
We entrust ourselves to you, our sweet Mother, since we know that because of you the path is safe and we glimpse the goal without fear. Strengthen us every day in our commitment to love and offering so that we can be your instruments and serve in the cause of the salvation of souls. Amen.
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior, for he has looked upon his handmaid's lowliness.
(Luke 1:46,47).
REFLECTION
Our Mother recognizes herself small before the omnipotence of God. Her humility made it possible for God himself to incarnate in her. Before the magnitude of the mystery, she lowered herself. In order to receive from God, through his Holy Spirit, I must recognize myself as a son created by him, incapable of everything he asks of me and at the same time aware that I can achieve everything from him.
INNER LOOK
When I pray, how do I present myself before God?
Do I recognize my poverty? Do I pray with humility?
INTENTION
I ask the Holy Spirit on this first day to help me have a docile spirit in imitation of Mary so that I can receive everything from him and live my path of giving in deep humility, knowing that he does great things in those who give themselves humbly to him.
PRAYER
My Father, I give myself to you from my condition as a very little son/ daughter and in need of you. Look at me kindly so that I can walk every day in your presence doing what pleases you, being faithful in everything as was the Mother of Jesus, who pleased you so much and who fulfilled with simplicity what her divine motherhood asked from her. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be.
