PRAYER TO MARY MOTHER OF PILGRIMS
Mary, you desired to be our companion in this path of giving we live every day. We take you as our Mother of pilgrims, so that you may always walk ahead of us, opening the way for us, pointing out the goal, and giving us an example of love that is donated and offered.
We entrust ourselves to you, our sweet Mother, since we know that because of you the path is safe and we glimpse the goal without fear. Strengthen us every day in our commitment to love and offering so that we can be your instruments and serve in the cause of the salvation of souls. Amen.
But he (Jesus) said in reply to the one who told him, "Who is my mother?
Who are my brothers?” (Matthew 12: 48).
REFLECTION
Mary is silent in face of these words of her Son. She did not impose herself, she waited to be called, with profound meekness and she did not let herself be discouraged, but she understood, by putting herself in second place. This true lesson from our Mother must teach us that silence and acceptance in the face of certain situations that we do not understand or that are painful are valuable; it will be our Lord who sees our meekness. He will welcome us joyfully into her blessed Heart.
INNER LOOK
Is my heart meek when it comes to accepting situations that may seem unfair?
INTENTION
I will meekly accept what I have to live. Like Mary, I will seek to give myself, always keeping painful things in silence, knowing that God sees them.
PRAYER
Beloved Father, help me receive everything you want to give me with a true spirit of meekness, believing with strong faith that all the good that I possess and that is in my heart comes from you. Help me to see in Mary the model that I must always imitate. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be.
