PRAYER TO MARY MOTHER OF PILGRIMS
Mary, you desired to be our companion in this path of giving we live every day. We take you as our Mother of pilgrims, so that you may always walk ahead of us, opening the way for us, pointing out the goal, and giving us an example of love that is donated and offered.
We entrust ourselves to you, our sweet Mother, since we know that because of you the path is safe and we glimpse the goal without fear. Strengthen us every day in our commitment to love and offering so that we can be your instruments and serve in the cause of the salvation of souls. Amen.
Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." (Luke 1:38).
REFLECTION
With her Fiat, Mary manifests her fidelity and obedience to God's designs. She received the words of the angel Gabriel by giving herself to the mission of being the Mother of the Redeemer. Mary of the docile and confident yes, teaches us to obey, simply by doing or accepting what the Holy Spirit inspires and shows us. Our obedience will always be supported by our faith, like our Mother who believed and gave herself.
INNER LOOK
According to my faith will be my giving. By my giving I can be faithful and obedient to everything that the Holy Spirit inspires in me. Do I really give myself? Do I hold my giving in my faith? Do I ask the Lord to give me more faith? Do I know how to obey?
INTENTION
On this fourth day, I try to acknowledge my lack of faith every time I have a hard time giving myself. I ask the Spirit to increase my faith to be more docile and obedient.
PRAYER
Eternal Father, increase my faith, give me a docile spirit that knows how to obey you, always doing what you want and what pleases you. Support me in my giving so that I can, like Mary, grow day by day in the love that is given and offered. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be.
