PRAYER TO MARY MOTHER OF PILGRIMS
Mary, you desired to be our companion in this path of giving we live every day. We take you as our Mother of pilgrims, so that you may always walk ahead of us, opening the way for us, pointing out the goal, and giving us an example of love that is donated and offered.
We entrust ourselves to you, our sweet Mother, since we know that because of you the path is safe and we glimpse the goal without fear. Strengthen us every day in our commitment to love and offering so that we can be your instruments and serve in the cause of the salvation of souls. Amen.
It means more for her, an altogether greater blessing, to have been Christ's disciple than to have been Christ's mother. (Saint Augustine).
REFLECTION
Our Mother accompanied and supported Jesus during his thirty-three years on earth. Since she said yes, she was on her way. That is why we can truly say that Mary is a pilgrim and companion of Jesus and ours. Setting out on the journey means for the pilgrim to make life a confident giving, to be at the service of God, to follow him in the silence of daily walk.
INNER LOOK
Do I feel united to Jesus in this pilgrimage of every day? How do I serve him?
INTENTION
On this eighth day, I meditate on whether I live the path of my giving imitating Mary in the service to God every day.
PRAYER
My Father, take all my self-giving, I put myself at your service so that you can convert me in a true pilgrim who gives and offers himself for the good of all. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be.
