CONSECRATION
Sacred Heart of Jesus, today I consecrate my little heart to you, so that through the offering of each day and my whole life I may live united to you for the love of God and my brothers. I want to make a permanent offering of my life. May your will be done. Amen.
On the night he was handed over, took bread, and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, "This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
(1 Corinthians 11: 23-24).
REFLECTION
Communion with the Body of Christ is intimately linked to the ineffable love of his Most Sacred Heart. Love becomes bread to be eaten, eternal food for those who receive it.
EXAM
When I receive Communion, do I seek to repair my faults and also the offenses that are committed throughout the world and that offend the Heart of Christ so much?
INTENTION
During communion, I join the offering of Christ for all men. I make my own the desire of Jesus that everyone come to live and enjoy the delights of his Heart in the eternal Kingdom.
PRAYER
Heart of Jesus, that you do not cease to give yourself as an offering for us in the Blessed Sacrament, give us the strength and energy we need to persevere on our path and bear witness to your saving presence in the world. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be.
