IF YOU WISH TO BE PERFECT, GO, SELL WHAT YOU HAVE AND GIVE TO THE POOR, AND YOU WILL HAVE TREASURE IN HEAVEN. (Matthew 19: 21).
Oh, Jesus, you are already in the place so feared, they rip off your clothes causing your wounds to open again. Your precious blood flows like a river. What a pain for your Body and what a confusion for your Soul! You have been left naked in front of a crowd that follows you step by step. You gave everything, you no longer have anything, you can't even cover your wounded and mistreated humanity.
My Jesus, help me to strip myself of everything that does not make me yours. I want to strip myself of the useless, of everything that does not help me to follow you on the path that you have drawn for me. Take all my will, I surrender it to you with confidence because I want to serve you in the love given to you. I know my true freedom rests in giving you everything.
Beloved Father, help us to be detached, to live stripped of so many things. Give us the true conversion of the heart that leads us to live for you doing what is pleasing to you, recognizing the invaluable wealth that you offer us. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
