FIRST MYSTERY:
THE BAPTISM OF JESUS
After Jesus was baptized, he came up from the water and behold, the heavens were opened (for him), and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove (and) coming upon him. And a voice came from the heavens, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3: 16- 17).
Let us contemplate this epiphany: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Baptism of the Lord. When we pray and place ourselves in the presence of the One and Triune God, heaven also opens for us and the Holy Spirit descends on each one of us to instruct us on our path. We ask you, Mary, to teach us to pray as you did. May prayer be part of our itinerary towards eternal life. Thank you, Mother, for praying so much for us!
SECOND MYSTERY:
THE WEDDING FEAST OF CANA
(...) the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine."
(John 2: 3b).
Mary need not say more. These words are a plea to her Son. Oh, dear Mother, you are always attentive to our needs. Nothing is unimportant to you when it comes to helping your children. Most Holy Virgin, Mother of Pilgrims, accompany these children of yours who seek to live the faith in a total and committed way. Guided by you, may we bear much fruit of salvation for ourselves and for all others.
THIRD MYSTERY:
THE PROCLAMATION OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD
From that time on, Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matthew 4: 17).
Jesus settles in Capernaum, on the shores of Lake Gennesaret and begins his preaching, inviting to conversion. This call alerts us to the greatest event, which is that the Kingdom of God is already coming to men. For that it is necessary to believe and prepare. Our Mother, help us to be aware that the Kingdom comes to us every day through transforming grace; help us to always be prepared to receive him, that we can live in constant conversion to make ourselves worthy of him.
FOURTH MYSTERY:
THE TRANSFIGURATION OF JESUS
Then Peter said to Jesus in reply, “Lord, it is good that we are here.” (Matthew 17: 4a).
This happiness of Peter responds to the joy of seeing glorious Jesus together with Moses and Elijah. The presence of God in our lives brings with it that peace and joy that we would like to treasure. These are the moments in which the Lord confirms us in our mission. Mary, Mother of Pilgrims, do not stop accompanying us on our way, do not walk away as we go forward. Teach us to carry out our mission as pilgrims each day through our trusting giving to God.
FIFTH MYSTERY:
THE INSTITUTION OF THE EUCHARIST
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes. (1 Corinthians 11: 26).
Until the end of time the Lord's Supper will be celebrated and we will be fed by his Body and his Blood. Because this bread is his true Body and the wine is his Blood. Living the Eucharist is a true anticipation of Heaven. Mary, our Mother, help us so that we can receive our Lord with joy and devotion, with the certainty that he never abandons us. Intercede for us every day of our lives. Thank you dear mother!
