THEY TOOK THE BODY OF JESUS AND BOUND IT WITH BURIAL CLOTHS ALONG WITH SPICES, ACCORDING TO THE JEWISH BURIAL CUSTOM. NOW IN THE PLACE WHERE HE HAD BEEN CRUCIFIED THERE WAS A GARDEN, AND IN THE GARDEN A NEW TOMB, IN WHICH NO ONE HAD YET BEEN BURIED. SO THEY LAID JESUS THERE BECAUSE OF THE JEWISH PREPARATION DAY; FOR THE TOMB WAS CLOSE BY. (John 19: 40-42).
My Jesus, you have loved me so much, I know that you love me just the way I am, that you only expect me to give you my heart and love you. Because your thirst for love is infinite and you want nothing more than a little heart willing to love. Your love leads me to intimacy with you, you want me to talk to you, to be confident and tell you about my sorrows and all my achievements. You are not a distant God but the God who loves me with predilection. I know that you are always with me and when I invoke you, your Heart ignites with love. My Jesus, do not allow me to ignore your advice, to neglect your requests, to be indifferent to the pain of my brothers and to everything that makes me be closer to you. Help me to love as you love me.
Eternal Father, teach us to live as your true children. Increase our faith, hope and charity. May your grace sustain us in our ways so that we can live in your service and doing what pleases you. That we do not think so much in ourselves, but that our gaze extends forward, so that we can contemplate your works and enjoy your infinite goodness and mercy all the days of our lives. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
